My brother is always on the go and sometimes he has to solder some stuff. So I made him a toolbox with everything he needs for some basic soldering jobs, which includes:
- Soldering iron
- Lead-free solder
- Desoldering wick
- Flux
- Bras wool and TIPPY for tip cleaning
- Space for some spare connectors and cable clamps
Because he can’t always solder at a desk, I got him a cordless soldering iron. I’m not a huge fan of butane-powered soldering iron’s, as buying new gas cartridges is inconvenient and a waste of resources. Therefore I chose the battery powered Weller WLBRK12.
To ensure that everything is neatly with each other and does not break during transport, I used a Peli case as a toolbox. I measured the dimensions of all the parts and designed the inlays. 3D files can be found on Thangs and on the Peli website.
A friend was kind enough to print the parts for me.
